Using the Webdings Converter
Use this page to convert a sequence of keys into interface-style pictograms. Microsoft documents Webdings as a 1997 symbol font created for web graphics and navigation. The examples below show this site’s portable output, including a case-sensitive pair and a decoding collision.

- Keep Webdings selected and Emojis on. Type a sample exactly as shown, including letter case.
- Select Copy symbols and paste into a plain-text field. Compare the characters with the output column above.
- Press ⇄ to decode the symbols. Check the reverse result and any candidate-character warning.
With Emojis off, the browser previews the original text using an installed font. Copy text copies characters without that styling. For a document, apply the same font at the destination. See the font-preview and clipboard test for a worked example.
A successful reversal does not establish compatibility with every app. These tests cover one Windows browser. For an unknown source, use the reading guide to distinguish styled text, Unicode and images.
Questions Beyond the Examples
Does Webdings conversion translate the meaning of a sentence?
No. It substitutes individual characters. Typing a word such as hotel does not request a single hotel icon.
Can a Webdings decoder read Wingdings text?
The fonts use different mappings. Check the source font instead of assuming similar-looking symbols share a key.
